Generate Work Orders

Work Orders are typically created by a single user in Fleetio and if Work Orders are needed for multiple Vehicles, the process can become time-consuming. The Generate Work Orders feature helps to streamline this process, allowing you to create multiple Work Orders based on open Issues and overdue Service Reminders for multiple vehicles at once.

NOTE: Work Orders will only be created for open Issues and overdue Service Reminders that are not listed on an existing Work Order.

How to Generate Work Orders

  1. Click Service in the Sidebar Navigation, then click Work Orders.
  2. Click the More Actions Button on the top right of the page and select Generate Work Orders.

  1. Select a checkbox (a) for the desired criteria to generate the Work Order.
    1. Create work orders for Vehicles with Open Issues
      • Click View to see a preview of selected Issues
    2. Create Work Orders for Vehicles with Overdue Service Reminders
      • Click View to see a preview of overdue Service Reminders
  2. Complete the Work Order Details section (b), including Status (required), date and time the Work Order was Issued at, and who the Work Orders should be Assigned To.
    • If assigning to a User, you can also check the Send Email Notification checkbox to notify the User via email.
  3. When you're finished, click the Generate Work Orders button (c).
