With Fleetio Go, you can use the camera on your mobile device to scan and select assets.
NOTE: You may need to grant Fleetio Go permission to use your device's camera. This can be done in your device's settings.
Using the Scan Button on the Home Screen
To scan a barcode or QR code, tap Scan Barcode on the home screen, then focus the camera on a printed label to scan it.
- Scanning a Vehicle, Tool, or Part barcode or QR code will pull up the asset in Fleetio Go if it is already registered in Fleetio and you have permission to view it.
- If the barcode isn't registered in Fleetio yet, the app will guide you to register the barcode with an existing asset or create a new Vehicle or Tool asset.
Using the Scanner on the Asset Index
Tap Browse, then tap on an asset category (Tools, Parts, or Vehicles).
Tap the Barcode icon in the search bar to open the scanner.
Focus the camera on a printed label to scan it. You'll be taken to the Details Screen for the corresponding asset.
NOTE: When scanning Tool barcodes, Fleetio can record a location entry for your asset. You can then view the last known location on the asset's details page. Learn more in Log Location Entries Using Fleetio Go.
