Fault Monitoring reviews incoming telematics fault activity each night and identifies meaningful patterns, such as repeated faults or related faults occurring together. When related fault codes indicate that a vehicle may need attention, an Issue is automatically created with relevant fault details so your team can take action quickly.
Fault Monitoring is another way to turn Faults into Issues, automatically, based on patterns it finds. You can still create Issues from open faults manually whenever you want.
To enable Fault Monitoring in your account:
- Go to your Account Menu and select Settings.
- In the settings sidebar, click AI Service Advisor in the Intelligence section.
- In the Fault Monitoring section, toggle the feature on.

Upon detecting related fault codes, Fault Monitoring generates an Issue with a Summary and Description, and assigns a priority level if Smart Issue Prioritization is enabled. Service Advisor will appear as the Issue Reporter in the Issue Details and Timeline.

IMPORTANT: Fault Monitoring currently creates an Issue only when a group contains at least two distinct fault codes. A single fault code will not create an Issue through Fault Monitoring, even if that code occurs repeatedly. Fault codes configured as Ignore through Fault Rules may still be included when repeated fault activity is detected. Learn more in Faults Overview.
