Issue Status

Table of Contents

The Issue Status indicates the current workflow phase of your Issues when viewing them in Fleetio. You can use Issue Status to track your vehicle Issues from start to finish.

  • Open
    • Default system-assigned status for a new Issue
    • Represents an Issue that has been created, but has not been set to the Resolved or Closed status by a User
  • Overdue
    • Automatic system-assigned status for an Issue past its Due Date
    • Overdue Issues will have an Open status highlighted in red in the Issues Index
  • Resolved
    • User indicated status
    • Represents an Issue that has been Resolved via a Service Entry or Work Order
  • Closed
    • User indicated status
    • Represents an issue that has been acknowledged and marked Closed by a User
    • Should be assigned to Issues that will not be Resolved via a Service Entry or Work Order
    • Example: A dent to a door may need to be reported, but no plans are going to be put into place to remove (Resolve) the dent

When viewing your Issues Index (click Issues in the Sidebar Navigation, then select Issues), Issue Statuses are available as standard Saved Views at the top of the page. Click on a View to easily filter the list by a specific Status.

NOTE: The Overdue flag is not considered a Status. This flag is displayed for Open Issues that have not been marked as Resolved or Closed, and for which the meter reading or due date has been exceeded.

Issue Statuses and Inspections

When Issues are generated via Inspection Workflow as a result of an Inspection Item Failure, you can use the Inspection process to track and review Issues, through Open and Resolved statuses, then Reject or Confirm Issue resolution.
