Fleetio integrates directly with certain fleet fuel cards and on-site fuel management systems to import fuel transaction data. Once you map your fuel cards to your Vehicles in Fleetio, the process is completely automated.
PERMISSIONS: Only Account Owners and Administrators can set up fuel integrations and manage fuel cards.
IMPORTANT:
- Native Fuel Card Integrations (WEX, COMDATA, Fleetcor, EFS) are available for all Fleetio Plans
- API Fuel Card Integrations (AtoB, CarIQ, Coast, Intevacon) are available for all Fleetio Plans except for Essential
- Native Onsite Fuel Integrations (FuelCloud, Fill-Rite FMS) are available for all Fleetio Plans

How it Works
Once your fuel cards are Assigned to Vehicles, fuel transactions are automatically imported as new Fuel Entries in Fleetio.
Statistics like fuel economy (i.e. MPG) and cost per mile are automatically calculated when possible. You'll get powerful analytics about your fleet's fuel consumption without the need for manual entry.
Meter Readings and Meter Entries
Each fuel transaction includes a meter reading, recorded at the pump at the time of fueling. Imported Fuel Entries generate a corresponding Meter Entry in Fleetio, helping you stay on top of meter-tracked maintenance.
It's important that drivers enter the proper mileage when fueling up, as the value is used to calculate fuel statistics and trigger Service Reminders. Incorrect meter readings can be edited after a fuel transaction has been imported, but it's easier if they are initially recorded correctly.
Auto Void Meter Entries
Native Fuel Card Integrations can be configured to automatically void meter entries from fuel card transactions.
Auto-voided meter entries will be highlighted as shown below and state that "This meter entry source was disabled" as the void reason. Usage statistics will not be calculated for these entries, and they can be un-voided if needed.

Instructions to enable this setting are available in the Fleetio Setup guides linked above.
Tips
For best results with Fuel Card Integrations:
- Use only one fuel card per vehicle so MPG and other statistics can be properly calculated.
- Do not use the same fuel card for multiple vehicles.
- Assign fuel cards to vehicles, not drivers.
- Ensure that an accurate Meter Reading is entered at the pump.
