Fleetio allows you to log in to your account with a username or email address and password, or you may use your Google login credentials for one-click access once you are already authenticated to Google. This is commonly known as Google OAuth, or more generally as Single Sign On (SSO).
NOTE: Google Authentication is available for all Fleetio users, on all Fleetio plans.
If your Fleetio user account uses your Google email address, then Google Authentication will connect automatically the first time you log in with Google in the web app or Fleetio Go. If it does not connect automatically, follow the steps below to connect your Google account.
- Go to your Profile Menu and select Login & Password.
- On the Login Information Tab, click the Connect Your Google Account button.
- You will be prompted to enter your Google username and password, then asked to allow Fleetio to view your Email Address and Basic Profile Info.
- Fleetio uses this data to associate your Email Address with your Account, and to input your First Name and Last Name.
- Click the Allow button to continue.
That's it!
NOTE: After linking Fleetio with your Google Account, you will need to click the Log in with Google button in order to access Fleetio using the website or Fleetio Go mobile app. Entering your Google Email Address and Password will NOT allow you to log in to Fleetio.
Disconnect or Change Google Authentication Account
If you need to cancel or change your connected Google account for Google Authentication, navigate back to the Login Information Tab using the instructions above. You will find the button has been relabeled to Disconnect Your Google Account. Click the Disconnect button then, if necessary, follow the steps above to re-connect using the desired Google account.
