Fleetio allows you to add an additional layer of security to your fleet's information by setting a Session Timeout for Fleetio Web app and Fleetio Go users.
After a period of inactivity, such as 15 minutes after a user closes the app, users will be automatically logged out of Fleetio Go or the Fleetio Web app. This only applies to inactive sessions and won't log anyone out while the app is being used.
PERMISSIONS: Only Account Owners and Administrators with the Manage Security Settings permission can manage Session Timeout. See User Management Overview for more information.
IMPORTANT: Session timeout settings will apply to all Users, including Owners and Admins.
To set a Session Timeout:
- Go to your Account Menu and select Settings.
- In the Settings sidebar, click Security in the User Access section.
- Use the drop-down menus to select your preferred timeout duration for Fleetio Go and Fleetio Web:
Fleetio Go timeout durations:
- Never (default) - Users will remain logged in indefinitely until they manually log out.
- 15 minutes
- 30 minutes
- 1 hour
- 12 hours
- 24 hours
- 2 weeks
Fleetio Web timeout durations:
- 2 weeks (default)
- 15 minutes
- 30 minutes
- 1 hour
- 12 hours
- 24 hours
- When you're finished, click the Save Security Settings button.
IMPORTANT: If a User is logged out by a Session Timeout, any in-progress inspection data will be lost.
