Standard Service Task Overview
Your Fleetio account is pre-populated with a list of Standard Service Tasks, found in the left sidebar under Service > Service Tasks. A Standard Service Task in Fleetio represents a commonly performed fleet maintenance task such as an Engine Oil & Filter Replacement or a Tire Rotation.
Service Entries generated by Maintenance Shop Network may automatically create Standard Service Tasks in your account. As additional Standard Service Tasks are identified, new Standard Tasks may be added in your account. If the name of the new Standard Task matches an existing Custom Task, the new Standard Task will be automatically merged into the existing task.
Standard Service Tasks can be differentiated from Custom tasks by the existence of the "Standard Service Task" icon and help text that appears next to the Service Task name in the Service Task list:

Maintenance Categorization with VMRS
Using Maintenance Categorization with VMRS, all Standard Service Tasks will be preloaded with default categorization which will apply to Work Order and Service Entry line items when the Service Task is used. Each Standard Service Task will automatically have a default System, Assembly, and Component code (if you enable Component codes) set. While you can set a default Reason for Repair, most elect to set the Reason for Repair manually while creating Work Orders and Service Entries.

Service Reminder Reset
Service Reminders are reset when the corresponding Service Tasks are recorded on a Service Entry or Work Order.
Service Reminders can only be reset with Maintenance Shop Network Service Entries if the Service Task on the Service Reminder is connected to a Standard Service Task. To connect a Standard Service Task to a Service Reminder, merge the Standard Service Task into the Custom Service Task on the Service Reminder.
