Fleetio users who have enrolled in Maintenance Shop Network will be able to empower their Drivers with easy Shop Instructions. This will help facilitate communication with Preferred Maintenance Providers for a seamless experience with your outsourced maintenance shops.
The Fleetio Go mobile app includes an on-screen display of these Shop Instructions.
Alternatively, you may print paper Vehicle ID Cards for drivers who don't carry mobile devices.
IMPORTANT: Maintenance Shop Network is available for all Professional and Premium Plan customers.
PERMISSIONS: Account Owners and Administrators can manage Maintenance Shop Network and print Vehicle ID cards. See User Management Overview for more information.
Display Shop Instructions using Fleetio Go
Shop Instructions guide the Driver and Maintenance Shop through the correct selections for processing Repair Orders.
Shop Instructions are available as a shortcut on the Home screen, from the Shop Details Screen, and from the Vehicle Details Screen (for an enabled Vehicle).
On the Home Screen
Tap the Shop Instructions shortcut.
From the Shop Details Screen
Tap Browse on the bottom menu, then tap Shop Directory. Tap a shop to bring up the Details Screen, then tap the Step-by-Step Instructions button.
From the Vehicle Details Screen
If a Vehicle is enabled for Maintenance Shop Network, there will be a link to view shop instructions on the Vehicle Details Screen.
Print Vehicle ID Cards
Print Vehicle ID Cards if your operators or drivers don't carry mobile devices. These cards include vehicle data, driver information, shop information, and a barcode symbol that encodes the VIN.
NOTE: The Vehicle ID barcode, encoded to Vehicle VIN, is different from the Vehicle barcode, which can be generated and printed to scan and select vehicles using Fleetio Go.
To print Vehicle ID Cards:
- Click Shop Network in the Sidebar Navigation and select Shop Payments.
- Go to the Vehicle Management tab (a).
- Select the checkboxes (b) next to the Vehicles you want to print cards for or select the checkbox in the header row to automatically select all the applicable Vehicles.
- Click the Actions Drop-down Menu (c), then select Print Cards (d).
- Choose your preferences, then click Generate Template.
- Open the PDF file once it's ready, then print your labels.
NOTE: The Vehicle ID Card is printed in a standard format that cannot be customized and does not include the instructions for drivers shown in the Fleetio Go mobile app.
