NOTE: We're excited to announce that we're making filtering and navigating Fleetio reports easier. Updates to Fleetio's 40+ standard reports will occur incrementally throughout the year. As a result of the ongoing report enhancements, you may notice differences between report experiences.
To help you keep track of your Inspections, Fleetio provides various list views and Reports to view data for your Inspection Schedules, Submissions, and Failures. Below are examples of useful list views and Reports for Inspections, the data they include, and how to access them in Fleetio.

PERMISSIONS: Account Owners and Administrators can access all exports and Reports. Regular Users must have "View Other Submissions and Item Failures" and "Export Data" selected under Inspections and "View Vehicle Reports" selected under Reports in their User Roles & Permissions.
Inspection Schedules Export
The Inspection Schedules index includes data for all of your Inspection Schedules.
Click Inspections in the Sidebar Navigation, then select Schedules.
Use the drop-down filter (a) to view All Inspections or those that are Due Soon and/or Overdue. This is useful for keeping tabs on Vehicles that are late for scheduled inspections. You can also Filter vehicles (b), Filter inspection forms (c), or click the More button (d) to apply additional filters for Vehicle Type, Group, and more. Click the Search button (e) to apply the selected filters.
To export your data in CSV format, click the Actions Drop-Down Menu (f) and select Export CSV.
Exported data includes:
- Inspection Form
- Schedule
- Manually Overridden
- Last Inspected Date
- Next Due Date
Inspection History Export
The Inspection History index includes data for all Inspection Form submissions.
Click Inspections in the Sidebar Navigation, then select Inspection History.
Click the Submissions with Failed Items tab (a) to view only Inspection Forms with Item Failures. Click Inspection Submitted (b) to view Forms submitted within a certain timeframe, Inspection Form (c) to view data for one or more Forms, or apply additional Filters (d).
To export your data in CSV format, click the More Actions Button (e) and select Export CSV.
Exported data includes:
- Vehicle
- User
- Timestamps for Started At and Submitted At
- Duration in Minutes
- Count of Failed Items
- Primary/Secondary Meters
- Inspection Item Responses
- Item Comments
- True/False for Item Photos
NOTE: When an Inspection Form is edited, a new Inspection Form Version is created. Data from all versions will be exported, but item labels from the most recent version of the inspection will be used as column headers. For example, if the label of an item is changed, the historical response data will appear in the column using the new label.
Inspection Item Failures Export
Inspection Item Failures includes data for any Items that have been marked as Failed in an Inspection Form. Learn more about this page in Inspections - Item Failures.
To export your data in CSV format, click the Actions Drop-Down Menu and select Export CSV.
Exported data includes:
- Vehicle info (Group, Year, Make, Model, VIN)
- Inspection Form
- Item
- Stage
- Acknowledgement info
- Last date Created and Updated
Inspection Submissions Summary Report
The Inspection Submissions Summary Report provides an overview of total Inspections submitted by User or by Vehicle using the tabs above the chart (a).
View Inspection submissions over a given date range using the Inspection Submitted filter (b). You can also see Users who have never performed an Inspection, where the Submissions Count (c) is zero.

Inspection Submission List
The Inspection Submissions List provides you with a report of all Inspection Submissions, including graphs and a list view.
Inspection Failures List
The Inspection Failures List Report allows you to see every failed item from your Inspection Submissions.
Inspection Schedules
IMPORTANT: The Inspections Schedules report is not available in Fleetio's Essential Plan.
The Inspection Schedules report provides a list view of all active Inspection Schedules on your account.
