The Advanced Analytics AI Data Analyst is a report builder and analysis agent that can generate reports based on user prompts, identify data gaps, and build metrics and reports for users. The agent is also capable of deep analysis and reasoning, and based on its findings, recommends the next best action or how a user can execute a change.

Using the AI Data Analyst

The AI Data Analyst can be found on the top toolbar of Fleetio by clicking Ask a Data Question or within Advanced Analytics:

• Click Reports in the Sidebar Navigation, then select Advanced Analytics.
• To start using the AI Data Analyst, click AI Data Analyst in the Advanced Analytics Sidebar.

Basic Controls

Before you get started, it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with the basic controls and functions:

1. Click New Chat to start a new chat
2. Previous chats can be viewed using the sidebar
3. Type your prompt in the Enter your question field
4. Switch between Instant Answer and Deep Reasoning modes
   • Quick Search - The default setting that retrieves relevant charts or answers from your data
   • Deep Analysis - Generates in-depth insights by analyzing patterns, anomalies, and trends
5. Click to change data models, so you can direct the agent to look at a specific data model (such as Fuel Costs, Inspections, etc.).
   • Auto mode automatically searches for and selects the most relevant data models based on your question.

Questions & Responses

Type a question in the Enter your question field. The AI Data Analyst will respond in the same window.

• If you’re using Instant Answer mode, answers may take up to one minute to appear.
  • E.g. What and why, how can I improve type of questions.
• If you’re using Deep Research mode, it may take a minute or two for answers to appear, depending on your internet connection, hardware, and the complexity of your question. This models provides a deeper level of thinking. The chat may ask you more questions, specifically around why and any constraints around the reporting. The agent then may propose multiple approaches, which you may choose or ask it to produce more approaches. You can utilize more interaction here, for instance asking to change the outputs (like a pivot table instead of a pie chart).
  • E.g. Replacement strategy, workforce planning, or any sort of larger planning question.

You can click the Show Work button to take a deeper dive into the AI Data Analyst's process and the datasets it's exploring.

The AI Data Analyst will also include any relevant charts or tables, which give you additional options:

1. Switch between chart or table view
2. View the chart in Fullscreen
3. Pin the chart to a Dashboard
4. Download a copy of the chart
5. Edit the chart to further customize it

You can continue to ask questions in the same window using the Enter your question field, or you can start a new chat by clicking the New Chat button in the sidebar. 

Managing Previous Chats

Any previous chats will be saved in the sidebar so you can return to them later if needed. This list prioritizes the last 7 days of chats, but older chats can be found by scrolling down the sidebar.

If you want to rename or edit a previous chat, click the More Actions button as shown below.

Additional Use Cases

The AI Data Analyst excels at prompting with root-cause analysis questions, thereby taking a concept and drilling in deeper. Try utilizing any of these prompts as you begin to experiment more with the AI Data Analyst:
