How to Train Your Team with Fleetio Academy

The Fleetio Academy is a self-paced training platform designed to help Fleet Managers, Drivers, and Technicians build confidence in Fleetio. Through structured courses, guides, and learning paths, users can earn certifications, watch tutorial videos, explore webinar recordings, and access guide resources.

The Fleetio Academy provides a consistent and scalable training experience for onboarding new hires, refreshing your team’s skills, or standardizing platform use across departments.

What is Included?

Fleetio Academy content is tailored to the needs of each role and includes:

• Role-Based Certification Courses: Fleet Managers, Drivers, and Technicians each have their certification course that includes videos, tutorials, interactive knowledge checks, and real-world examples.

• Video Tutorials and On-Demand Webinars: Deep dives into key features, workflows, and time-saving tips.
• Guide Resources: Quick-reference PDFs and tip sheets that support continuous learning and daily use.

Who is it For?

Fleetio Academy is designed to support a wide range of teams and training needs:

• Fleet Managers: Onboard new users, reinforce best practices, and champion LMS use across the organization.
• Admins and Account Owners: Centralize and scale training efforts across teams and locations.
• Technicians and Drivers: Complete short, mobile-friendly lessons focused on real-world Fleetio Go tasks.

• New Customers: Kickstart platform adoption with structured onboarding.
• Existing Customers: Upskill users and onboard new team members efficiently.

How to Access Fleetio Academy

Anyone with a Fleetio login can access the Academy. 

If using the Fleetio web app, follow these steps:

• Log in at https://app.fleetio.com. 
• Click the ? Help Center icon in the top right corner. 

• Select Fleetio Academy from the dropdown menu.

• The Academy will open in a new browser tab.

If using Fleetio Go, follow these steps:

• Open the Fleetio Go mobile app.
• Select the profile button at the top right of the screen.
• Scroll down to the bottom and select Fleetio Academy. 

Earning Certifications and Tracking Progress

Each certification course is compiled of role-specific learning opportunities, videos, tutorials, and knowledge checks. Once completed, the user receives a Fleetio certification for the course.

While Fleet Managers and Admins can not assign training or track progress within the LMS directly at this time, you can: 

• Encourage users to share their completion certificate. 
• Add Fleetio Academy to internal onboarding checklists. 
• Request a team completion summary report from your CSM. 

Best Practices for Leveraging the Fleetio Academy

Fleetio Academy supports a wide range of onboarding and training workflows:

• Use the Academy as your training foundation: Each role-specific certification course ensures consistent, standardized onboarding across your team.
• Supplement with internal policies when needed: You are welcome to pair Academy training with SOPs or company-specific tools to reflect how your team operates.
• Let Fleetio handle the updates: Fleetio Academy is maintained by Fleetio’s Customer Education Team, so you do not have to worry about keeping your training content up to date when the platform changes.

Combining Self-Paced and On-Site Training

Many customers find the most success by blending Fleetio Academy with live or in-person training.
