IMPORTANT: The best place to find information about Data Imports in Fleetio is the Data Import Overview article. This resource includes step-by-step instructions, training videos, and guidance on how to prepare your import data file.

In the event that a NEW Data Import File contains inaccurate or incomplete data, Fleetio supports the option to “roll back” the import process. This will remove ALL records from your Fleetio system that were included in the import.

There are two requirements for Rollback to be available:

  • The import was processed within the last 24 hours
  • The import contained only NEW records

If the 24-hour period has expired, or if the import contained updates to existing data, then the Rollback link will be disabled, as this option is no longer available. To correct a Data Update, we recommend importing a NEW update file with the edited information.

Rollback an Import

Follow these steps to initiate a Rollback:

  1. Go to your Account Menu and select Imports.

  1. Click the More Actions Button for the import you want to roll back and select Rollback Import.

  1. Click Confirm
  2. A blue message will be displayed in the bottom right, indicating the rollback is processing.
  3. Once processing is complete, a green message will appear with a link prompting you to reload.
  4. The import Status will change to Rolled back, confirming that all records included in the import have been removed
