Fleet Advisor Hub - Roles & Permissions

IMPORTANT: The Fleet Advisor Hub is currently in closed beta and only available to select Partners.

 

By customizing permissions, you can determine what actions advisors assigned to the Fleet Agent and Sales Rep roles can take, and which areas of the Fleet Advisor Hub they can access.

Manage Roles & Permissions

To manage Fleet Advisor Hub roles:

  1. Go to your Profile Menu and select Organization Settings

  1. In the Settings sidebar, under System Settings, click Roles

Here you can view and manage your existing Roles.

  1. Search for a Role
  2. Click the number in the Users column to view the users assigned to that Role
  3. Click the More Actions Button to Edit, Duplicate, or Delete a Role
NOTE: Roles cannot be deleted if they are assigned to a user.
 

Add a Role

To add a new Advisor Hub Role

  1. Click the + Add Role button

  1. Give your role a Name, and select its permissions.

Role permissions are divided into modules, including AccountsAdvisors, and Demo Accounts. You can control the access this role has to each part of the Fleet Advisor Hub based on your selections.

  1. Select Full, Some, or None for each module. Selections are applied at the role level, meaning any advisor with this role will have these permissions. 
    1. Full - Advisors with this role will have every permission available for the selected module and any permission Fleetio adds for that module in the future.
    2. Some - Use the checkboxes to specify exactly which permissions should be given to an advisor with this role. 
      • For example, in the image below, Fleet Agents can View and Create Demo Accounts, but cannot Edit them

    3. None - The module won’t be accessible or visible for advisors with this role. Setting access to None is a great way to reduce the number of navigation options for a particular role.
NOTE: Certain permissions are only available for Admins, indicated by a lock icon.
 

  1. Once you've made your selections, click the Save button

After saving, any Fleet Advisor Hub advisor assigned to this role will be granted the selected permissions. 

Edit Roles

To edit the name or permissions of an existing role, click the More Actions button for the role you'd like to modify and select Edit.

NOTE: The Owner and Administrator roles cannot be modified.
 

You can make changes to the name and selected permissions for the role following the same process shown above.

After saving your changes, any Fleet Advisor Hub advisor assigned to this role will be granted the selected permissions. This includes advisors who were assigned to the role before the changes were made.

Change an Advisor's Role

When adding or editing an advisor, you can change their role by selecting Regular Advisor in the Advisor Type & Permissions section, then selecting their role using the Advisor Role drop-down menu.

Impersonations > View Impersonate an Account Owner, but can only view the Account
Impersonations > Manage Impersonate an Account Owner and make changes to the Account
