Contact Renewal Types

PERMISSION: Account Owners, Administrators, and Regular Users with the appropriate Permissions can manage Contact Renewal Types. Read more about setting Permissions here.

Contact Renewal Types should be established for events or activities that must be completed for a Contact by a certain date, such as license expirations and industry certifications. Fleetio comes pre-populated with several common Contact Renewal Types, but you can Add, Edit, or Delete Types.

Contact Renewal Types are selected when creating Contact Renewal Reminders in Fleetio.

To manage Contact Renewal Types, go to your Company drop-down menu and select Account Settings:

PERMISSIONS: Only Account Owners and Administrators have access to manage  Contact Renewal Types. Learn more in the User Types article.

Contact Renewal Types allow you to customize the various renewals activities that are required for your Contacts. These Types can be selected when creating  Contact Renewal Reminders in Fleetio, and then used for sorting, filtering, and reporting.

Fleetio includes pre-defined Contact Renewal Types to include general Certifications and License Renewal. You have the option to Edit or Delete these Types, as well as Add your own custom Types.

Manage Contact Renewal Types

Navigate to Settings > Reminders > Contact Renewal Types via the left sidebar menu, or click your Company drop-down menu and select Account Settings:

Click the + Add Contact Renewal Type button in the top right corner to Add new (1), or click the More Actions drop-down menu to Edit or Delete an existing Type (2). The link in the Usage column (3) will display Contact Renewal Reminders for this Type.

Filter and Report by Contact Renewal Type

The Contact Renewal Reminder List and Report include easy Filter options so that you can narrow results displayed by Type.
